Work Work Work

Hi guys! I feel like I haven't posted in a long time but I have been SO busy this week!
I have been teaching Primary classes at church on Sundays and have loved that! It brings me extra peace each week to spend a couple hours with some kiddos. I thoroughly miss my daycare kids and my Primary kids back at home and cannot wait to see them in just a couple weeks! I know!! Just three more weeks until I am back in Oklahoma!

As we are nearing the end of this internship, the workload is increasing! Our final presentation is on August 11 and for that symposium we have to have a poster, PowerPoint presentation, and a final paper. All of these things have the same information on them so theoretically they shouldn't be very hard, but trying to format them nicely takes some time. I have been finishing my last bits of data analysis this week and started these final presentations. This "crunch time" work reminds me of midterms and finals!
Even though we have been working hard, there are still times that you need to do something to just relax. I have been listening to and reading the last couple Harry Potter books and I love them! I am taking advantage of not having textbooks to read right now and hope to finish the last three books by the end of this summer!
This week has not had many "fun" activities since we have all been working hard on our individual projects, but on Monday one of the families from church had me over for dinner and we ate blue crab! I figure that I cannot leave Maryland without eating crab! Although the meat was good, I do not think that it is worth the time and work of opening the crab!

I am still very much enjoying my time here on the Eastern Shore and I cannot believe that I have already been here for 7 weeks.  These past two weeks have flown by and I will be back on red dirt before I know it.
I would appreciate any prayers and good vibes as this program is coming to an end and I am preparing to present my project.
To all of my Oklahoma friends... I hope you are surviving the heat and enjoying AC as much as possible!

Vitamin D

Hi friends! I have already spent a week in Maryland and it is going by so fast! My new friends are amazing and everyday I look forward to hanging out with them in the evenings. My research is coming along but it is taking time and I am trying my best to be positive about what the results might be. Campus is pretty and although I still get lost I like it a lot.      This Saturday we went canoeing in the morning, played basketball in the afternoon, and went for a run with some of my gal pals in the evening. I love spending time in the sun and enjoyed my Saturday so much! Canoeing was a little scary, but for my first time I think I did pretty good! My arms are extremely sore but it is a good sore. I am learning so much and loving every new experience! I have played pool, softball, and basketball which are all things that I do not do very often but have had a good time doing!     This Sunday I got to go to church in Salisbury. It was nice to d...
