Hi guys! I feel as though I have not updated you guys for awhile but I also feel like I don't have that much to say so this may be a short post.
This week has gone by so fast! Next Wednesday will mark one month that I have been in Maryland and I cannot believe it! I have been working hard this week - I have been making graphs and charts and have continued to format the 26 years of data that I have. Each year takes about 2 hours to finish so this process is long and tiring.
There was a large church camp here for the end of last week and the majority of this week. That means that there were 700 extra people on campus and it was kind of crazy. The other interns and I got used to eating just the 14 of us and just not really seeing anyone around but for this week it was a different story. The cafeteria was always busy but we did get more food options which was nice. The campers went home Thursday so we are back to the campus being just how we like it... quiet! Next week there will be another group of students joining us. It is a group of 8 kids who are in a geoscience program. They will live in the same building as us and we will have a few activities together. They are all going into there first year of college so they have stricter rules than us but hopefully they will add a good new dynamic to our group!
A new season of "Big Brother" has started and all of the interns gather together 3 times a week to watch it live. I had never seen this show but it is a fun reality competition show where a group of people live together in a house and participate in challenges. It is fun to watch and even more fun to watch with some of the other interns who are super fans!
I am really enjoying my time here and my research! I simultaneously want time to slow down, so I can enjoy Maryland, and I want time to speed by so I can get back to ECU! I guess that just means that whether time goes by fast or not I will be happy!
